| Click on images to enlarge | Sherry has raised numerous Gray and Fox squirrels since the Greiners moved to Kerrville on July 4, 1981. The squirrels come to her in numerous ways, as little babies. In some cases nests were destroyed and in other cases dogs captured them. Wild tree squirrels are a real challenge to raise since they grow fast and can destroy just about anything if you let them loose in your house. The Greiner know! However, once they are weaned, Max makes Sherry release them into the wild so they don't disassemble the entire Greiner home! Because tree squirrels have a small "home ranch", they stay close to the Greiners their entire lives. |
